Yesterday, we blogged about 10 Tips on Getting the Most Out of Twitter. We’re going to continue our social media marketing blogging by working with Twitter again and exploring two features that will make your tweeting more efficient.
1. Hash Tags
Some complain that Twitter is unorganized. Unlike other social media marketing networks like Facebook, you don’t have an abundance of options for distinguishing yourself—like joining groups and having a fanpage. But, there is a way for users to look for accounts blogging for relevant terms with TwitterSearch.
Just like blog posts, you can tag your tweets (if room is available). For instance, if your blog post is about social media marketing, but don’t have that exact phrase in your tweet, use a hashtag.
Let’s use one of our past tweets as an example:

TechCrunch has a list of “Top 21 Twitter Applications” for you to supplement what Twitter has to offer you. As we mentioned in our Tips post yesterday, third party applications can sometimes be better than Twitter itself.
Applications like TwitterFeed can pull RSS feeds to link on your Twitter. For those directing traffic to blogs, this is an efficient way to make sure your blog gets posted on many mediums, instead of doing it manually.
