Forever Five (5) Best Blogging Tips

It's almost the third quarter of 2009 and more changes took place and are still taking place especially for bloggers and blogging. Well, most of the time, that is just what we all want to believe when in reality - the MAJOR rules never change. Content is still king. Hence, blogging and social media marketing are now playing a much bigger role in internet marketing.

Here are my forever five (5) best blogging tips.

1. Publish lots of good and useful content. This has been and always will be the best way to rank high in the SERPs, attract targeted traffic, acquire a solid number of subscribers and send a large percent of that targeted traffic to your main website.

2. Use the best title you can give each post. A title that you feel will attract people to your article. One way to do this is to think about your main topic and then imagine what title will suggest EXACTLY that topic at first glance if you were not the author.

3. Be sure that the keyword in your title appears in the post. The only way to do this NATURALLY is to FOCUS on your topic which is in the title that you've given YOURSELF. Every time you make a turn you're not sure about, just check by reading your title again.

4. Be sure that the tags you use are keywords that are actually DISCUSSED in your post. If not, don't use them, just save them for the next post or write an article dedicated for that topic and publish it with the appropriate tag/s.

5. Join Twitter and micro-blog regularly. Like I said, it's 2009 and we are already in the middle part of it. If you do not do this one you're gonna be sooooo left behind! Does this mean I treat Twitter as a MAJOR rule? Well, I'll just let you figure that one out for yourself!
